Zinedine Yazid Zidane (born in Marseille, France, June 23, 1972), nicknamed Zizou is a French football player Algerian descent. His position is attacking midfielder. He began his career as a player at the club AS Cannes and later played at Girondins Bordeaux, Juventus and Real Madrid's last. He retired from club football in 2006 and retired from the French national football team after the 2006 World Cup.

In 2001, Zizou transfer from Italian club, Juventus FC to Real Madrid for a contract for 4 years with a transfer fee of € 66 million, making it a football player with the most expensive transfer in the world. He scored a 2-1 victory against German club, Bayer Leverkusen in 2001-2002 Champions League Final at Hampden Park in Glasgow.

In 2004 after Euro 2004 ends, Zidane decided to retire from international football, but when the French have difficulty escaped to the 2006 World Cup, Zidane announced in August 2005 that he would return to play in the national team and decided that he would resign after 2006 World Cup ended. On April 25, 2006, Zizou was officially announced his decision to quit the club and national team football after the World Cup France 2006.
