OpenVPN can be described as popular Windows/Linux VPN Server/Client couple. I think there’s an outside GUI available for it again if you’re so oriented. This howto will covers command line usage solely.
I’ll provide example configuration according to a Linux server along with a Windows client, however identical applies pretty easily once you wanted to mix and match.
