That is my 1st pair of Salomon's but I adore them. The features speak with regard to themselves. I went to a store to try on different hiking boots. I tried on with regards to 5 pairs and these kind of Quests felt heads and shoulders better then a rest. The boot really appears like it hugs your foot and offers support all around. In that way, they feel a bit stiffer then other shoes I tried on. I haven't taken these on any hardcore hiking trips yet. But I have worn them about the house/office and taken them over a couple 1-4 mi nature hikes. Bottom line... the boots has good support, a grippy sole, is waterproof (thx Gore-Tex) and looks pretty cool.
