Roux is the daughter of a pharmacologist. Prior to earning her M.F.A., she worked as a geobotanist's assistant in the Kalahari and Namib Deserts of Africa.

At this time, Roux is getting ready for a Fall 2004 residency sponsored by the Andy Warhol Maintain and The Nature Conservancy.

Just lately, Roux produced a tiny fold out book titled Society of Vegetation which integrates her landscape photography with her narrative set up jobs. This e-book has been accepted at a variety of museums and libraries for their Artists' E-book Assortment.
